Flex Wheeler Gives Wesley Vissers Posing Advice Ahead of 2026 Olympia
On September 23, just 48 hours before the 2026 Mr. Olympia, Wesley Vissers met with bodybuilding legend Flex Wheeler, who offered him key posing advice ahead of the contest.
Vissers has enjoyed a stronger 2026 season after a lackluster 2025. He focused on improving leg development and fullness with a tailor-made training program, which paid off at the 2026 Arnold Classic, where he dominated the field to claim his second title there. He followed that with a win at the Detroit Pro. At the 2026 Arnold Classic UK, however, he finished runner-up to 2025 Olympia silver medalist Mike Sommerfeld, though many still view Vissers as a frontrunner against Ramon Dino.
In the video, Wheeler said Vissers' greatest weapon is his superior conditioning and advised him to take longer with transitions between poses to highlight the details of his physique, noting there's little point in having that conditioning if it isn't shown off.
Wheeler also urged Vissers to approach the competition like a fight and not let up until a winner is declared, stressing the importance of confidence and stage charisma. He added that in today's bodybuilding landscape, being the nice guy doesn't always translate to winning, advising Vissers to save kindness for after the competition.
Vissers himself has remained measured about his Olympia expectations, saying his goal is to become the Classic Physique Olympia champion within the next three years.
The 2026 Mr. Olympia runs from September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
